Creamy cheese and bacon pasta for all the family

  • 300g bacon
  • 1 onion
  • 400g dried spaghetti
  • 1 egg and 2 extra yolks
  • 150ml tub single cream
  • 50g smoked cheese, grated


  1. Chop the bacon into rough cubes and slice the onions. Fry in a little oil until beginning to brown
  2. Meanwhile put the pasta on to cook following the packet instructions
  3. Beat together the one egg, plus two more yolk’s with the cheese and cream
  4. Drain the spaghetti through a sieve and tip into the fried bacon and onions. Then pour over the cheesy egg mix and combine together for one minute
  5. Transfer to warm bowls and serve with black pepper if desired
