Here are some general tips to help you try to save money on day to day spending, such as transport and phone bills

Create a monthly budget to keep track of your outgoings based on your household income, this can help prevent overspending and show where you may be able to make savings where possible.

To reduce fuel costs, shop around for the best fuel prices near you. Also, did you know that turning off the air conditioning system and limiting the weight of the car, reduces fuel usage!

To save money on transport, try car sharing with colleagues, family, friends, or neighbours. Alternatively, walk where possible or look for deals on public transport.

Budget for events throughout the year, such as birthdays and Christmas. Try to save some money each month and set a budget for each event to make it affordable.

Cleaning products can be expensive, but did you know value range products generally have the same content as the big brand products! You can also save money by buying a multi-purpose product, rather than a variety of specific ones. Washing up liquid is great for cleaning and even works as a stain remover!

6.

Social tariffs are discounted mobile and broadband deals available for certain low-income customers. You’re likely to be eligible if you receive a means-tested benefit, such as universal credit or pension credit. Contact your provider to discuss this further
