Chow Mein

This Chinese dish is bursting with flavour and will satisfy your craving for a takeaway. The recipe is enough for a family, so is a great way to save money but eat well!

Ingredients

  • 250g Dry egg noodles
  • Chow Mein ‘stir in’ packet sauce.
  • 300g Chicken breast
  • 1kg frozen sweetcorn
  • 400g beansprouts
  • One red pepper

Method

  1. Chop roughly 150g of chicken and add into a large pan, cook on a medium heat for around 5 minutes.
  2. Whilst that is cooking, slice half of the red pepper.
  3. After 5 minutes, add the red pepper to the pan and let this cook for a further 5 minutes.
  4. Boil a pan of water and add in one egg noodle nest.
  5. Cook this for roughly 5 minutes, or until soft.
  6. Now, add a quarter of the pack of beansprouts to the chicken, and cook for roughly 2-3 minutes.
